Relação da prática de exercícios físicos por gestantes e Diabetes Mellitus Gestacional

Introdução: O Diabetes Mellitus Gestacional (DMG) é uma patologia muito prevalente, causando diversas repercussões na saúde da mãe e do filho. Outrossim, o ganho excessivo de peso durante a gestação está associado a maiores riscos durante o período gravídico, estando também relacionado com o DMG. Objetivo: Relacionar a prática de exercícios físicos por gestantes com DMG. Métodos: Revisão integrativa de literatura que realizou buscas no Medline, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, entre julho de 2022 e fevereiro de 2023, com os descritores “Pregnancy”, “Exercise” e “Gestational Diabetes”, cruzados com operador booleano AND, que buscou responder ao questionamento: “Quais os impactos da prática de exercícios físicos por gestantes com Diabetes Mellitus Gestacional? ”. Elegeram-se títulos originais, escritos na língua inglesa e publicados a partir de 2018. Excluíram-se dos estudos pesquisas em animais, revisões ou metanálises, editoriais e títulos duplicados. A busca resultou em 50 artigos, dos quais 10 foram selecionados por preencherem os critérios de elegibilidade. Resultados: A prática de exercícios físicos durante as gestações repercutiu em uma melhoria de indicadores de saúde nas gestantes portadoras de Diabetes Mellitus Gestacional. Conclusão: A prática de exercícios físicos na gestação deve ser estimulada, não só para portadoras de comorbidades como o DMG, como também para todas as gestantes, uma vez que apresentou melhoras em diversas funções fisiológicas e na redução dos riscos para a gestante e para o recém-nascido.
